22. Chinna kunnuru – Chinna + Kunna + ooru – [both chinna and kunna mean] Small – little + village
23. Dhadahatti – Dhada + Hatti – Path Way + Village
24. Dhavanai – Tavay + Hanay – Common bracken + Grassland [It could be Tavay + Hanni – Common bracken + Swamp]
25. Dhoddanni – Dhodda + Hanni – Big + swamp
26. Edakkadu – Eday + Kaadu – centre (middle) = Forest
27. Ekoni – Ekoni – Milky way [Head Star] in it
28. Godalatti – Godalu + Hatti – Dale-Valley + Village
29. Halada – Haalu + Hada – Milk + Flat Ground
30. Hubbathalai – Hubbay + Thalay – Chinese pagoda tree + Top (headland).
Incidentally, there are two Hubbathalai Villages – Hubbathalai Hatti or Peria[big] Hubbathalai and Hubbathalai Ooru or Chinna[Small] Hubbathalai.
Interestingly, my mother who passed away at 99yrs on 13-7-11, told me that her village Hubbathalai Hatti was also known as Ammanalli.
